Mercer Management owns and operates a number of hospitality based businesses in the Trenton and Jersey Shore areas. Working with executive and individual onsite management staff I identify areas of weakness, be it guest experience, security, workflow, or expense reductions. I then determine the possibility of improvement and construct plans of attack while keeping within budgetary and scheduling restrictions. I apply this workflow to ventures in the planning, construction, and operating phases alike.

 

Fennelli Design | Allentown, NJ – Production Coordinator, Designer              Nov. 2012 – January 2015

Responsible for scheduling, logistics, and freelance staffing on an as-needed basis. Coordinate lighting, sound, video, special effects, and power distribution equipment and system needs for larger scale events. Produce designs for said events utilizing inventory on hand and the rental of additional equipment from third parties.

 

R.R. Donnelley | Secaucus, NJ/New York, NY – Systems Consultant                          July 2013 – July 2014

Consulting and designing the upgrade and installation of security cameras, access control systems, and telecom/data-com infrastructure for the 155,000 square foot Secaucus plant to satisfy client site audit requirements. Planning the removal and relocation of security equipment in preparation to vacate two floors in a high-rise NYC office building.

 

Rho Waterfront | Trenton, NJ – Operations Manager, Technical Director           April 2012 – June 2013

Focusing on operation of the 1800+ capacity, 21,500 square foot nightlife aspect of the venue, responsibilities included staffing and scheduling five bars to meet customer demand and labor cost objectives, employee performance reviews, corrective action and terminations, cash audits and nightly accounting, entertainment booking and scheduling, promotions and special event coordination with associated vendors, social media and website integration, and all marketing initiatives. Filled in as needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations. Maintained point-of-sale, lighting, audio, video, telephone and network systems.

 

• Streamlined liquor and beer inventory, increasing beverage profits

• Implemented a new guest tracking software system to provide guest list management, special event ticketing, and promoter & staff performance tracking for improved marketing

• Developed bottle service program from menu to server training, projected to gross an additional $175,000 in the first year

 

Fennelli Design | Allentown, NJ – Production & Sales Manager                       April 2009 – October 2012

Managed day-to-day operations of private event based production company. Responsible for scheduling, logistics, freelance staffing, and equipment inventory. Coordinated lighting, sound, video, special effects, and power distribution needs for an average of 200 events per year. With the custom nature of event production, met with clients to determine and fulfill their needs. Designed and implemented all marketing and sales strategies. Developed event and lighting designs for numerous high-profile clients.

 

• Utilizing customer relationship management software, transformed the proposal, billing and invoicing process

• Forged relationships with 5 high-end wedding venues to position Fennelli Design as exclusive event production vendor

• Through system design and product sales, secured and maintained dealership status with over a dozen new vendors such as Elation, Chauvet, and Iluminarc by exceeding minimum sales goals

 

APS Corp. | Bridgewater, NJ – Security Installation Technician                      April 2009 – October 2011

Performed design, installation and service repairs of commercial fire alarm and life safety, closed circuit camera, card access control, and intrusion detection systems. Ensured new and existing system installations were in accordance with local building codes, contract documents, and recommended manufacturers installation requirements. Created and executed project work plans and revised as appropriate to meet changing needs of the customer.
